Due to a statute of limitations on personal injury cases, it is important to take action as soon as possible to avoid losing your right to file your lawsuit and recover damages.

If you’ve been involved in a dog attack, it’s important to consult with attorneys that are well versed on Arizona’s laws and regulations surrounding dog bites. At Oswalt Law Group, our attorneys have a plethora of experience handling animal attack related cases and may be able to assist you or a loved one in receiving the deserved compensation for pain and suffering.

In Arizona, there are two timelines for the statute of limitations for dog bites. The dog bite statutes, A.R.S. 11-1025 through 11-1027, have a one-year statute of limitations from the time of the bite. If a claim is brought to the owner at any time within the one year, the owner may be held immediately liable. For the common law negligence statutes, there is a two-year statute of limitation. The Oswalt Law Group recommends that victims seek legal action as soon as possible (within the one-year time frame), in order to have a strong case for both legal areas.
